USS Childs (DD-241) during 1927 Presidential Review

Here we see the Clemson class destroyers USS Childs (DD-241) during the Presidential Review of 4 June 1927. A total of 98 ships sailed past the Presidential Yacht off Cape Henry, Virginia. This was the largest Presidential Review conducted until that time, and a sign of the increasing power of the US Navy after the First World War building boom.
